Job Description
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Underground Mine Surveyor to join our high performing underground mining team at our Duketon operation.
Reporting to the Senior Underground Mine Surveyor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of underground survey functions, ensuring timely and accurate survey support to underground mining operations.
This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Conducting underground survey activities to support development and production mining operations
Completing development set-outs including grade lines, lasers, new headings and cable bolt installations
Performing production set-outs for long hole, rhino and raise bore drill rigs
Tracking and monitoring underground excavations and completing as-built pickups
Undertaking production void scans using Elios 3 drones
Conducting underground control traverses and maintaining survey accuracy standards
Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of mine plans and survey documentation
Updating survey plans, as-built files, vertical openings and service infrastructure records
Collaborating with geology, engineering and underground mining teams to support safe and efficient mine development
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Formal qualifications in Surveying from a recognised TAFE or University
Previous exposure to underground mine surveying and a sound understanding of underground mining principles
Knowledge of underground traversing principles and survey control requirements
Experience using Leica survey instruments, including MS60, MS50 and TS15
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable survey data
The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment
Experience with Deswik, Move3 and Inspector 5 (elios 3 software) will be highly regarded.
Current C Class Driver's Licence
